The 4D Skin Clinic is situated in Lake Macquarie area at Belmont North just south of Newcastle.  We are looking for a doctor to work part time 3 days per week with a view to moving to full time early 2025.

The clinic is a non-corporate skin cancer and cosmetic clinic. We provide comprehensive skin services focused on skin cancer diagnosis and management, cosmetic lesion removal, treating and rejuvenating sun damaged skin and providing minimally invasive cosmetic procedures.

The clinic comprises of 6 experienced skin cancer doctors who are accredited with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia, a Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon plus nurse support.  We enjoy a purpose built modern facility with spacious consultation rooms and 2 well equipped dedicated procedural rooms.

Essential Qualifications

• Dermoscopy and minor procedural experience is essential. Applicants should have at least a Certificate of Dermoscopy and a Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia and a plan to continue their dermoscopy training further.
• Unrestricted AHPRA registration

Desired Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Certificate of Dermoscopy
• Advanced Clinical Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine & Surgery
• Masters of Medicine (Skin Cancer) or a Diploma of Skin Cancer Surgery (or studying toward either)

Practice Nurse Dermoscopist/Melanographer – Permanent Part-Time  

Permanent Part Time practice nurse sought to join solo practitioner in a friendly long-established GP run accredited skin cancer practice, in Windsor Melbourne. Practice Principal is a Fellow of Skin Cancer College Australasia. Dedicated to the early detection of melanoma and other skin cancers.

Must be a registered nurse with current AHPRA registration

Suit someone who has previously worked in a skin cancer clinic or in a dermatology practice.

Experience in dermoscopy essential.

Responsibilities include taking skin cancer history, performing skin examinations using a dermatoscope and utilizing specialized digital imaging software to document and follow up lesions.

Additional responsibilities include general day to day clinical duties including result management, patient education, maintenance and cleanliness of procedure room, stock management and sterilizing surgical instruments.

Desirable but not essential (training provided): Experience in assisting with skin procedures such as biopsies and excisions, post op wound care, managing topical therapies for skin cancer and treatment with PDT. Administrative tasks associated with daily running of practice.
