Essential Criteria

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration
• Vocationally registered General Practitioner or equivalent
• Australian Citizenship or permanent resident status
• Accreditation or certifications in skin cancer management (SCCA or equivalent), OR
• At least one year full-time equivalent experience in non-surgical cosmetic medicine.

Desirable Criteria 

You have completed (or are enrolled in) post-graduate education in skin cancer management, cosmetic or aesthetic medicine or primary care dermatology e.g. Certificate, Diploma, FACCSM, FASAM. MMed (Skin Cancer), FSCCA Fellow. PGDipDerm, MScDerm, Australian Institute of Dermatology Membership/ Fellowship, Dermatology Australasia (Advanced Certificate). Female applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.

This is a new, custom built clinic with rooms available for GP’s with special interest in skin cancer medicine and surgery. It is located centrally in Hobart and within walking distance of all amenities. The clinic is a peaceful and spacious facility with full nursing and administrative support. Must be a registered nurse with current AHPRA registration

Suit someone who has previously worked in a skin cancer clinic or in a dermatology practice.

Experience in dermoscopy essential.

Responsibilities include taking skin cancer history, performing skin examinations using a dermatoscope and utilizing specialized digital imaging software to document and follow up lesions.

Additional responsibilities include general day to day clinical duties including result management, patient education, maintenance and cleanliness of procedure room, stock management and sterilizing surgical instruments.

Desirable but not essential (training provided): Experience in assisting with skin procedures such as biopsies and excisions, post op wound care, managing topical therapies for skin cancer and treatment with PDT. Administrative tasks associated with daily running of practice.
