An Introduction to Skin Cancer
We hope to encourage students and allied health professionals to learn more about skin lesions they will see in their daily practice.
Delivered online and designed to be self-paced, this course has been developed for any health professional who views or treats skin as part of their daily practice. Ideal for newly qualified doctors, practice nurses, physiotherapists, dentists, osteopaths, chiropractors, podiatrists, melanographers, dermal therapists or laser and IPL therapists.
Gain practical information and knowledge about what to look for, learn how skin cancer is managed, and understand why accurate diagnosis is essential. This is the ideal course for professionals with an interest in supporting the prevention and early diagnosis of skin cancer.
Participants have three months to complete the course from their date of registration and will be sent a reminder email one month before this period expires. On completion, participants will have ongoing access to the course material.
*Please note that this course will not teach participants how to diagnose skin lesions; this is the role of doctors or nurses who have completed comprehensive training in dermoscopy.
If you are a doctor or nurse who already works in skin cancer medicine please explore our Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and Certificate of Dermoscopy courses. These courses are the recommended starting point on our education pathway, which culminates in Accreditation and Fellowship.
